| What is Color Me Mine? |
| Color Me Mine is a friendly, creative studio where you can create your own artwork on the pottery piece of your choice. Whether you are 5, 25, 55, or 105, we can help bring out the artist in you! |
| Do I have to be an artist to paint my own pottery? I can't draw a straight line! |
| No! Color Me Mine is for everyone, even the "art impaired". We have stencils, sponges and stamps for the artistically hesitant. We have a design center and a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff to demonstrate new techniques for you. Or sign up there for our techniques classes to learn everything you need to create a masterpiece! |
| What can I paint? |
| We have over 400 different pieces to paint. We have everything from dolphins and mermaids to fairies and t-rexes. Pick from plates, platters and bowls in many shapes and sizes. Or choose from cookie jars, vases, and toothbrush holders if one tickles your fancy. From tiny knobs to Elvis busts, we have it all. |
| Can I use this stuff? |
| Yes! All our paints are non-toxic, lead free, and are food-safe. They are dishwasher safe as well, although the mermaids complain about getting dishwashing detergent in their hair. |
| How much does it cost? |
| How much do you have? We have pieces as inexpensive as four dollars. You pay a studio fee plus the price of the piece, sp pricing is as flexible as you make it. The studio fee covers paints, brushes, clear glaze, firing, etcetera--everything but the ceramic item you choose. Studio time is $6 per child and $10 per adult. We offer specials almost daily. | Can I bring my friends, co-workers, pets? |
| Of course! The more the merrier. We are dog friendly. Just let us know when you're coming with your dog so we can accomodate you and your furry friend. We give free bones! |
| What can kids do at Color Me Mine? |
| We can amuse children of all ages, including infants! You can paint your baby's feet, or your children's hands on a platter, tile, or coffee mug or wherever they fit. We've even done a bottom print or two! (We paint the bottom and you change the diaper!) Even the youngest child likes to play with brushes, sponges and paints. Finger painting on pieces (but not on employees) is allowed and encouraged. The paints rinse off the kids and their clothes with water. |
| Can you come to my school/office/party? |
| Yes! We go to schools, restaurants, hospitals, businesses, parks. Plan it indoors or out...we love to party! See our To Go page for more information. For small parties at your place, we have To-Go Kits available. Having a large party? One of our staff members can come and run a party wherever you are. |

| How long do I have to wait to get my stuff? |
| Usually your piece(s) will be available within 3-5 days. Around holiday times the wait could be a little longer. |
| Do you have classes? |
| Our classes are much more fun than that boring stuff you learned in school. We will show you how to paint fruit, vegetables, flowers, bugs, stripes, plaids, borders, and many other things. See our class page for more information. |
